Those of you who follow the association will be aware that entries to our 3 full band contests have been declining over the past few years and scaba reluctantly decided to cancel the Entertainment contest this year rather than make a significant loss.
Always looking for ways to make our events easier to take part in and more appealing for our local bands, the scaba Executive introduced a new ‘open’ format for this year’s Autumn Contest with 2 large combined sections in the hope that this would give bands the opportunity to play alongside a larger number of different bands and the audience a bigger and wider variety of music to enjoy.
We are delighted to confirm an entry of 20 bands and look forward to a busy and fun day of music making at The Hawth on 30th September. The order of play has been drawn and will be published on the day; bands are listed here alphabetically.
