The Future’s Bright for SCYB

The Southern Counties Youth Band (SCYB) has been thriving since scaba President Norman Every started it in 2014, and looks set to get even bigger and better in the coming year. New members are always welcome to come and join the fun!

Norman has retired from running the band since moving out of the area, but the rest of the team of experienced tutors and dedicated volunteers will be back supporting the band under the expert guidance of our conductors Ian Lanceley and Richard Baker. We have a full calendar of monthly rehearsals from September to March, with a concert in February and our 4th annual residential course confirmed for April 2018. All dates are listed in the SCYB Membership Pack and on the Events section of this website.

Membership of SCYB is open to any young brass band musicians aged from 11 to 18 and of at least grade 4 standard. Your band does not have to be a member of scaba.

For more information and a membership application form, you can download a Membership Pack HERE or from the SCYB page.
