The local association for Brass Bands in the Southern Counties of England

Boobs & Brass was formed in the Midlands in 2006 to perform a “one off” charity concert. Following the success of that first event the organisation grew and over the next 11 years raised over £200,000 for charity.
Boobs & Brass has appeared as the first all-female band at the Whit Friday march contests, performed at Butlins, and staged numerous charity concerts around the country. Boobs & Brass was presented with an Outstanding Achievement award for fundraising by the Breast Cancer Campaign, and this year won the BBC ‘Power of Music’ Brass Band award.
The founders of Boobs & Brass have sadly reached the decision that it is time for the organisation to come to an end.
The last public performance by Boobs & Brass will be at Lincoln Cathedral on Saturday 13th October 2018. The Southern branch of Boobs & Brass, ‘Boobs Gone South’ has two final concerts planned in 2017; the first in Egham on 22nd October. Don’t miss this last chance to hear the fabulous pink ladies and support the Boobies in Surrey!

On Saturday 9th July, players from the Southern branch of Boobs and Brass will be joining the ‘March for Life’ Band to support thousands of runners, shufflers and walkers taking part in the Portsmouth 5km Race for Life on Southsea Common.

If you’d like to join the fun, please register for the event at Portsmouth Race for Life and check out the flyer below for Band contact details.
