The local association for Brass Bands in the Southern Counties of England

Amersham Band is making good progress with their Bandroom Project to build a new Bandroom and start a Brass Academy.
The band has secured a long lease on some land and obtained full planning permission. Fundraising is the focus now – their current fund-raising tally stands at £116,000 in cash and in-kind pledges, and the band has recently applied for some larger grants.
Amersham Band is currently through to the voting round for the Aviva Community Fund in the £25,000 category, and they need your help voting for the Bandrom Project to secure funding. The band is doing well and is currently in 6th position out of 83 projects!

The Amersham band will be hosting two great events in one day, Saturday 15th October, both featuring world-renowned euphonium player David Childs.
The band’s annual Community MusicFest concert will be held at the Elgiva Theatre in Chesham and will showcase David as guest soloist and also feature the Beacon Voices choir. The concert will be preceded by a Masterclass led by David, where aspiring brass players can get tips and advice from one of the leading professional players.
In prior years, the MusicFest has been a sell-out, so book your tickets early to avoid disappointment. The concert starts at 7:30pm and tickets are available from the Elgiva Box Office.

The Masterclass which is sponsored by Prozone Music and Besson will be held at the Broadway Baptist Church in Chesham. Entry is £5 payable at the door.

Southern brass band audiences will have two chances to see and hear the world famous Brighouse & Rastrick band in concert in the South East in June.
The multi-award winning band from Yorkshire will share the stage with the London & Southern Counties Regional Champions, Friary Guildford, in Camberley on Saturday 11th June and with the Amersham Band in High Wycombe on Sunday 12th June.
