Full results from Folkestone where Kortrijk took top honours at a very entertaining and successful contest.  31 bands took part over the weekend of 13th & 14th October 2007.  The adjudicator was David Hirst.

SCABA’s Autumn Contest, held at the Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone, attracted two new overseas names this year with Brassband Heist and Brassband Bacchus, from Belgium, making the trip across the Channel with compatriot and regular visitor Kortrijk, but it was Kortrijk, under Lieven Maertens, who took the top prize in the Championship Section with a well directed and musical performance of ‘Elgar Variations’ by Martin Ellerby.

There were also wins in the other sections for Horsham Borough, Brassband Heist, The Cobham Band and Shanklin Town Youth.
