Former Euphonium player made life honorary member of The Cobham Band

The Cobham Band is delighted to announce that its former Euphonium player Colin Ball has been awarded the distinction of life honorary member

The Cobham Band last August (2007) reluctantly announced the departure of its Euphonium player Colin Ball, who had been a long standing member of the band for some nineteen years!

Colin left the band when he moved from his home in Chessington, Surrey with his family to Eastbourne on the south coast to become the new proprietors of the Ivydene Hotel.  Colin, euphonium player, band sergeant, committee member....the list goes on!

On behalf of the band David Ruel was delighted to be able to present Colin with a framed certificate at the Ivydene Hotel, Eastbourne on Saturday 28th June awarding Colin the distinction of life honorary member in appreciation and recognition of nineteen years service to The Cobham Band.

The presentation was made in the dining room as guests had sat down for their evening meal with Colin's wife, Ros and son, Michael who were eagerly waiting with the champagne, much to Colin's surprise!

The Cobham Band would again like to thank Colin for all his hard work over the years and looks forward to his continued association with the band.
