Yiewsley & West Drayton say goodbye to undoubtedly one
of the south’s finest principal cornet players, Gordon
Poole.
Yiewsley & West Drayton Band wished a fond farewell to
Gordon after he gave his final concert appearance with
the band at Pinewood Studios on Sunday 13th
July after 10 years of loyal service, having played
previously for Hinchcliffe Mill Band, West Yorkshire.
Gordon’s musical contribution to the band has been
fundamental to its contest success and progression to
the second section, winning numerous soloist prizes
along the way!
Gordon added: “I have made lots of friends and have many
fond memories of my time at Yiewsley & West Drayton Band
and wish the band all the very best for the future”.
