  Aberystwyth heads for Cardiff

 
 
 

Seindorf Arian Aberystwyth Silver Band last year was pleased to announce that it had recorded its very first CD, titled 'Aberystwyth', which features several soloists including a Cornet Solo by the Band’s Principal Cornet, Aidan Hassan, former Principal Cornet of the Irish Guards Band (1989-1997) playing My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose; an Eb Bass Solo by Dr. Tudor Jenkins, Bass in the Ballroom; the Euphonium solo, The Cavalier played by the Bands Principal Euphonium, Neil Taylor, former Principal of the Royal Welch Fusiliers Band (1970-1992) and a Cornet Trio, Three Jolly Sailormen featuring the bands Solo Cornets.

This year the Band is pleased to announce another first that it will be making the journey to perform for the very first time in Cardiff at the prestigious Wales Millennium Centre on the 3rd of February at 3.00p.m. to give an hours concert, under the baton of the Band’s Musical Director, Geraint Evans, former Bass Trombonist of the Irish Guards Band (1988-1994).  The Band will play an entertaining and varied programme including numerous welsh melodies and the soloists as featured on the CD, “Aberystwyth”.
