facebook.com. It contains pictures, news
stories from the bandroom, event information, and
will soon carry video and audio clips.
Facebook users become "fans" and receive a news feed

Hove Spring Contest, Hove Town Hall,
held on
Sunday 6th April 2008, all seventeen of
the bands entered fought their way through the worst
snowfall to hit the South East of England for 20
years, in order to take part in this event. Apart
from the start being delayed by 45 minutes, the
contest was a great success.

workshop on Saturday 26th April 2008 at
1.30 p.m. on how to get the best results from a band
rehearsal.

playing brass and percussion at the age of 8 with
Porthywaen Silver Band.
He went on to
study music at Liverpool and Trinity College of
Music in London before embarking on a career in
performing arts as conductor, performer, teacher,

at Ringmer Community College on Sunday 17th
February. The contest attracted 51 entries, of
which 4 withdrew. The Junior and Youth events
