The local association for Brass Bands in the Southern Counties of England

Formed by Frank Every (grandfather of scaba President Norman Every) in 1931, Saint Sebastian Wokingham Band is a friendly 2nd-section band with an active social life. In addition to contesting, the band’s calendar includes several concerts, fetes and parades.

The band rehearses at St Sebastian’s C of E Primary School, Nine Mile Ride, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 3AT on Monday and Thursday evenings from 8pm until 10pm.

We currently have vacancies for Front/Back Row Cornet (player will be seated according to ability), 2nd Euphonium, Bb Bass and Percussion.

Lewes Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band is looking to strengthen its bottom end.

It’s a great spot for an established player or a development opportunity if you’re looking to expand your playing within a supportive environment.

We have an Bb bass waiting to be played; if you’re an Eb player, you’ll need to bring your own.

We’re a friendly band, playing concerts and contesting throughout the year. We rehearse Thursday 8-10 p.m. at All Saints Centre, Lewes.

Currently in the 2nd Section, MK Brass seek a Musical Director to work with the band
to regain their place in the 1st Section whilst maintaining a friendly atmosphere.

Regular rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings
in Loughton, Milton Keynes, MK5 8FA.

Lewes Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band is a lively, friendly, social band based in Lewes, East Sussex.

LGB plays a variety of concerts including Eastbourne Bandstand 1812 concerts, Fetes and Fairs, AMEX stadium, Proms in the Paddock, Lewes Bonfire Night, High Sherriff Fanfares and Christmas concerts.
They also contest locally and nationally. 2016 was a bumper year for the band, winning or highly placed in: scaba Spring, Entertainment and Autumn contests; success at the Solo and Duets and a range of Best Soloist and Section awards across the year.
LGB Brass was awarded the prestigious “scaba Band of the Year” title for 2016.
